Award Season Hits

Surviving without a Golden Globe red carpet doesn't mean we have to go without "Award Season" fashion. There are 101 awards shows out there. And even if we aren't watching them, some of the stars are dressing for them.

This past week the 13th annual Critic's Choice Awards were held. Unfortunately this award show didn't pack the star power of one of the majors. I'm not sure if the writer's strike is to blame or the plethora of awards shows. But when it comes to legitimacy, the winner of best actor and best actress at the critic's choice has gone on to win the equivalent Academy Award for the past 4 years. That's great news for Daniel Day Lewis and Julie Christie, this year's winners.

But more importantly, to the fashion of the evening ... I found a couple of winners. Kyra Sedgwick was absolutely radiant in this red and black Oscar de la Renta. I love the amazingly vibrant color. It has terrific detailing at the bottom, and is sexy without being revealing. Somehow this one is classy and funky at the same time! Love her seemingly undone hair and luscious lips.
