Laughter through tears is the best, right? There's nothing quite like fin.a.ly. coming through a difficult time. The relief that we feel after suffering is so incredibly sweet. The only thing sweeter might be the anticipation.
Episode 27: "Today I am thankful for... waiting for sunshine through the rain."
I've been thankful for bad times before. But, this time it's a little different. Today I'm thankful for the hope we hold on to during the bad times. It's comforting to remember the cliches "this too shall pass" and "that which doesn't kill us makes us stronger." It's comforting to have faith that our suffering isn't wasted. As a Christian, I'm fortunate to know this verse to be true, "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28. Talk about hope!
So today, I am thankful.
