There were a few dresses last night that have left me scratching my head. Each one SHOULD have made me swoon, but I just can't commit to true infatuation. Help?!?! What did you think of these looks?

When I saw Annette Bening on the red carpet I was kind of bored. The dress is lovely, but, meh. The Naeem Khan gown was best appreciated under the theater lights. It sparkled and shimmered. But, I still kind of felt like, "meh." Maybe it's the weird winky, air kiss thing she kept doing to the camera all night that threw me off. I'm not sure. The pop of color in her earrings is exciting and almost saves the look. But, I feel like I want to like it more than I actually like it. How about you?

Now, I cannot figure out why I am not falling all over myself over Amy Adams in this L'Wren Scott gown. She's generally one of my favorites. After all, I love the bold color of the dress, I love the sparkle, it's ultra flattering on her and I love the unusual neckline. I'm all for risks on the red carpet, but this one isn't sitting well with me. It started to win me over when I saw her on stage. Because, as my girlfriend said, "It moved well and was cut nicely." But I still wasn't sold. I think that, as breathtaking as her Cartier jewels are, they are what is throwing the look off for me. To me, the necklace seems unnecessary. It's kind of overkill. For me, more is NOT more here. What do you think?

And what about Cate Blanchett in this pale lavender Givenchy? Without a doubt I'm not crazy about the yellow detailing at the shoulder, but the rest of the dress is really interesting. I just want to keep looking at it! Seriously. I keep looking at it over and over again. But, I'm not sure that I like it. Weird, right? It's very, very appealing. It draws me to it. But I cannot say that I think it's beautiful. Yet. Maybe if I just keep staring at it...
How about you? Has it won your heart?

I have a confession. I've never been a fan of lace. But its recent trendy-ness has won me over. I'm a total lemming convert. Therefore, with my recent lust over lace, Scarlett Johansson's Dolce & Gabbana should be one of my favorites of the night. That vibrant berry color is just lovely too. But, there's something that isn't right with this look. I think her hair is too casual for the event and I'm not a fan of her makeup. (one thing over which InStyle and I totally disagree) But I don't think it's that. What do you think? Is this dress truly beautiful?
Knock me off the fence, PLEASE!! What do you guys think??
