Some days it's easy to get discouraged. Some days it's easy to doubt and dread and do all those things your Mother told you never to do. Some days the cloud is just more appealing than its silver lining and that critical inner voice quiets everything else.
Even though the sun is shining.
Even though skyscrapers surround you and every view is a post card.
Even though all circumstances appear perfect.
Some days lies disguise themselves as facts and tempt you to believe.
But screw those lies and the critical inner voice they rode in on.
I choose hope instead.
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world."
