Here are a few of the looks from last night's event that had me gasping in amazement.
Solange Knowles in Rachel Roy
No doubt you'll see much coverage of Beyonce's Givenchy gown today - which depending on the angle of the photograph I found to be either stunning or atrocious. But, my favorite Knowles on last night's carpet was Solange. Both the color and shape of her gown are right on trend and I'm absolutely in love with her curls.
Dianna Argon in Carolina Herrera
Jessica Alba in Michael Kors
Jessica Stam in Dior
Surprisingly, I can't get this look out of my brain. It is so different than what I typically find appealing on the red carpet. But, wow. I'm more than fascinated by the accessorizing (arm party, anyone?), makeup and the gown's architectural detail. Sometimes a look just grabs you. Stam's Dior has done just that.
Emma Stone in Lanvin
Could I ever do a red carpet recap without including Emma Stone?
Answer: no.
Look at that floral detailing... beyond breathtaking.
Michelle Dockery in Ralph Lauren
A modern take on gloves on the red carpet? Yes, please.
Diane Kruger in Prada
Occasionally it is so much fun to see a completely different and totally unexpected silhouette on the red carpet. Thank you for the beautiful surprise, Ms. Kruger.
Jessica Paré in L'Wren Scott
Amy Adams in Giambattista Valli
Jessica Biel in Prada and Justin Timberlake in Tom Ford
The award for the best accessory of the evening goes to Jessica Biel. Smart girl.
